Which comes first?

The Lord works from the inside out.
The world works from the outside in.
The world would take people out of the slums.
Christ takes the slums out of people, and they take themselves out of slums.
The world would mold people by changing their enviornment.
Christ changes people, who then change their enviornment.
The world would shape human behavior,
but Christ can change human nature.

How much I must criticize you, my church, and yet how much I love you! You have made me suffer more than anyone and yet I owe more to you than to anyone.
