Blase Pascal

“All (hu)mankind's miseries derive from not being able to sit alone in a quiet room.”

"Truth is so obscure in these times, and falsehood so established, that, unless we love the truth, we cannot know it.”

“Men despise religion; they hate it because they are afraid it may be true.”

I love Pascal-- thanks for these quotes.
I'll need them for back-up in a post I'm planning to write after a particularly horrible experience I had with an atheist.

(Serves me right for commenting on his nasty blog, but I just couldn't resist.)

God bless!
